More about Sarah and the brand,

A quick introductory, my name is Sarah Alyce.  As you may have guessed, Alyce is derived from the name Alice but is pronouced more like Elise.  I have studied in Design through the Whitehouse Institute of Design (Melbourne Campus) from 2014 and completed my studies at the end of 2016.

I have always loved design and fashion from a young age.  I remember one of the very first dresses I created was out of paper for one of my toy dolls.  From there I explored putting together fabrics with glue and staples and eventually began to use my mother's Janome sewing machine.  Some of my main points of inspiration comes from a vast range of vintage styles.  Other major points of inspiration comes lifes textures, colours and details.

One thing that comes across my design world as well as personal world is eclectic and quirky aesthetics.  From vintage knick-knacks to pop-culture collectables, 1950's to 1990's style and simplisticity to eccentricity.

Another thing that passionately drives me in life and design is to be as environmentally conscious as possible in this modern world.  In design I use a lot of recycled or upcycled materials and in life I attempt every day to reduce my carbon foot print.  I personally believe that it is one of the most important things to do for the world we live in for ourselves, the planet and our future.
